I’m over at AudioGals with a review of Festive in Death by JD Robb, narrated by Susan Ericksen. Book 39 and I’m not sick of it yet.
By some sort of alchemical sorcery, I find the formula comforting rather than irritating.
@Erin: Yes, I do as well. There are some aspects that grate a little – I’ve never been a fan of Eve solving crimes by means of dreams of dead victims/perpetrators and her lack of facility with idiom is getting old but there is so much more I like. I know it will be a reliably good read/listen – some better than others and I can relax into characters I already know and love. It has the joy of a comfort read but the interest of a brand new book.
