I’m over at Dear Author with a review of Swept Away by Beth O’Leary. Loved it. Recommend.  Sure, the premise/their survival is a little unbelievable but I didn’t even care.

Illustrated cover showing a tanned white couple embracing and kissing while standing on the roof of a houseboat out at sea at sunset with seagulls flying around

I’m over at Dear Author with a review of My Big Fat Fake Marriage by Charlotte Stein.  A funny, sweet and sexy romance with a nod to Ted Lasso.

Illustrated cover with a pink background of only one bed in a hotel room/cabin. A white couple sits on the bed, she is reaching to kiss his cheek, he is facing forward. She is fat and has long pink hair and is wearing a green and white gingham dress. He is big and burly/fat and is wearing blue pants, a chambray shirt and has suspenders and a bow tie. He has thick dark hair and a thick straight mustache.

I’m over at Dear Author with a review of The Shots You Take by Rachel Reid. Enjoyable second chance romance with main characters in their 40s. One of the leads is dealing with some pretty fresh grief for most of the book which does impact the overall tone about as you’d expect.

Illustrated cover of two good looking white men in an embrace on a beach with dark sand. A safety beacon/lighthouse of some kind striped in red and white is in the far left background. One man has dark red hair and a beard and is wearing a blue plaid shirt, the other man is wearing a red and blue hockey jersey and is holding a hockey stick. Only their torsos above the waist are showing.

I’m over at Dear Author with a review of The Bad Bridesmaid by Rachael Johns. Enjoyable but not quite as successful for me as last year’s The Other Bridget.

Illustrated cover with a pale blue background and pink titles. In the left background is a bride in a big white ballgown wedding dress surrounded on each side by bridesmaids in mid blue dresses. In the right foreground is a woman with short black hair wearing sunglasses and a one-shoulder hot pink tight dress, with one hand in her hip.

US/Worldwide cover

Illustrated cover on a white background with gold author name in large font at the top and pink titles with the word "bad" in italics and in black at the bottom. In the middle and lower third is an illustration of an older white groom in a tux on the top and boardshorts and thongs on the bottom waiting for a bride who is also older and is wearing a pink ballgown, walking toward him on a red carpet with confetti. In between the couple walks a young white woman with short black hair in a knee length red dress and wearing devil horns and a devil tail.

Review at Dear Author

I’m over at Dear Author with a review of Remember When by Mary Balogh. A quiet book much more about self-discovery than romance but there is a HEA.

Photo realistic illustration of an older (40s/50s) white couple in Regency clothing. She is leaning back against a sturdy tree trunk in a lightly forested area, her hands behind her and flat on the trunk; he is leaning toward her slightly to the side of her, with one arm up near her head, resting on the tree trunk. They are looking at each other.
